Union Apts

Chula Vista, California

Scheduled for completion in late 2022, Union Apartments is a 170-unit apartment community in the City of Chula Vista.

This project resolved many design challenges throughout its nearly two year entitlement process before final engineering in 2020. Saddled with an ephemeral stream that effectively split the property, the design team incorporated this adverse condition into the layout and engineering of the property. Additional complexities include onsite Critical Coarse Sediment Yield Areas (CCSYA), county/city boundary issues requiring simultaneous processing with City and County, and city parcel/street condemnation and vacation for sale to owner.
